Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) technology contributes decisively to shortening and optimizing product development cycles in many fields of industry and research. This saves both time and money, which would have been spent on cost-intensive test runs, without sacrificing product quality. As the use of CAE continues to expand within companies, the demand for professionals with further expertise in this field expands accordingly as well.

Admission requirements

For the admission a Diploma / Bachelor degree (210 ECTS) is required in the field of engineering and natural sciences.
At least one year of work experience in the respective field of studies (i.e. in the field of engineering and natural sciences), gained after first academic degree.
Proficiency in English language accordingly to the level B2 of the Common European Reference Frame

Admission requirements with a Bachelor degree with less than 210 ECTS: If you have obtained a Bachelor degree with only 180 ECTS there is a possibility to substitute the missing 30 ECTS credit points with qualified work experience, gained after your first academic degree.

Each year, the application period for the summer semesters starts November 15, the application period for the winter semesters starts May 2.

University entrance qualification acquired abroad

If the higher education entrance qualification was acquired abroad, a preliminary examination of the higher education entrance qualification by uni-assist is required.

The master program M. Eng. Applied Computational Mechanics was established in 2005. The three partners, Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, Hochschule Landshut, and CADFEM GmbH designed the content of the study course together; this public-private partnership ensures a strong connection to both the real needs of companies and to their interested professionals.
