Coding Sports (cSports)
Gamble and learn programming at the same time: Coding Sports.
Many students enjoy playing computer games and learning different skills. They compete with their classmates and fellow students to outdo each other, or they work in teams to get ahead together. Programming is becoming increasingly important in our digitalized society. Since many pupils and students have difficulties in learning programming skills, especially at the beginning, we want to develop a game with cSports, which is controlled with program code and thus teaches programming in passing.
Goals and description
In the cSports project, a platform with several games of different genres and difficulty levels will be developed. In the course of the project, several eSports-inspired events will take place, where students can compete against each other in cSports in front of an audience. These cSports competitions will motivate them to improve in the game, thus acquiring programming skills along the way. At the end of the project, a gaming platform will be publicly available where games can be played and uploaded. During the course of the project, we regularly evaluate how the individual games need to be structured so that they are appropriate for the target groups.
