Cooperation with seondary schools is relevant for THI on many levels. Since last fall, Prof. Andreas Riener from the Faculty of Computer Science has been on the advisory board of the StMUK's "Profile Schools for Computer Science and Future Technologies" (PIZ). In this context, he welcomed representatives from 5 schools from Bavaria to THI in January. Representatives of the Staatliche Berufsschule Neu-Ulm, the Katharinen-Gymnasium Ingolstadt, the FOS-BOS Ingolstadt, the Freiherr-von-Ickstatt-Realschule and the Sonderpädagogisches Förderzentrum St. Laurentius Neuendettelsau met at THI, got to know our offers and discussed the schools' needs in the field of computer science.
As a direct result of this exchange, a workshop was held in February with Year 11 students from Katharinen-Gymnasium Ingolstadt, in which they learned about scientific work and research in the fields of artificial intelligence and cyber security. We are delighted that the long-standing partnership with Katharinen-Gymnasium has been thus further intensified.
