THI-Capture the Flag Team "neuland" wins Cyberevolution 2023 hacking competition

The THI-CTF team "neuland" from Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt secures 1st place in the Cyberevolution 2023 hacking competition. The event, organized by KuppingerCole Analysts, took place on 15 November 2023 in Frankfurt am Main and brought together leading teams from the cybersecurity industry.

The team of successfully prevailed against well-known competitors, including teams from Deutsche Telekom and E.ON. The highly qualified members, consisting of doctoral candidates and students of cyber security and computer science, impressed with their outstanding skills in forensic analysis of cyber attacks and the identification of vulnerabilities in software.

Prof. Hans-Joachim Hof, head of the INSecurity research group and head of the Cybersecurity degree program, commented on the victory as a contribution to the development of specialists in digital security. The success underlines the quality of cyber security education at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences and confirms the team's mission to make the digital world more secure.
