Visiting professor from Brazil

Prof. Lourenco Alves Pereira Júnior from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA (Brazil) is currently visiting the Faculty of Computer Science. The ITA is a partner institution of THI and with Prof. Pereira we have the first guest professor from there with us. Among other things, he gave a lecture on his research in Prof. Hof's course "Security Engineering in IT" in the Master program Cloud Application and Security Engineering (see picture, Prof. Pereira 2nd from right) and talked with the PhD students about their research projects.

In addition to participating in the AWARE Center's anniversary celebration, Prof. Pereira was able to get to know the THI better and exchange ideas with other colleagues, especially regarding research activities and potential cooperation opportunities. Last year, Prof. Pereira had already been able to welcome our PhD student Jakob Löw at ITA. The return visit now strengthens institutional ties and opens up avenues for further collaboration, especially on cybersecurity and aviation. It was Prof. Pereira's first visit to Ingolstadt and Bavaria.
