We warmly welcome a new colleague to the faculty: Prof. Dr. Tobias Eggendorfer. He takes over the professorship for cybersecurity and security of networked applications.
Prior to his appointment at THI, Prof. Eggendorfer was professor for IT security in Ravensburg-Weingarten and for IT forensics in Hamburg, as well as on leave for the last year at the Agency for Innovation in Cybersecurity (www.cyberagentur.de) in Halle; there he led and established the department "Secure Systems".
Prof. Eggendorfer developed software for the mass market as a student, later advised start-ups and corporations on IT topics, with an increasing focus on IT security, and in addition publishes extensively on IT security issues in the field of IT law and data protection law.
Tobias Eggendorfer studied physics and industrial engineering in Munich, computer engineering in Mittweida, computer science and computer science as well as labor and business law in Hagen, and adult education in Kaiserslautern.
