Welcome, Prof. Markus Wamser!

We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Wamser as a new professor at our faculty.
Prof. Wamser brings an impressive career and valuable expertise to our team. After studying mathematics and computer science at the University of Augsburg, he completed his doctorate at the Chair of Security in Information Technology at the Technical University of Munich. The title of his dissertation is “Serialization of Inversion-Based S-Boxes. Concept and Application to the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).” From 2017 to 2024, he worked as a system developer and embedded security expert at Ingenics Digital GmbH (formerly Mixed Mode GmbH).
Prof. Wamser joined our faculty in October and will be particularly involved in the area of embedded security and IT security. We are convinced that he will significantly enrich teaching and research at THI with his knowledge and experience. We look forward to working with him
