We would like to welcome Prof. Dr. Thomas Hutzelmann as a new junior professor for software security and web development at THI and the Faculty of Computer Science!
Thomas Hutzelmann joins us from the Technical University of Munich, where he completed his doctorate at the chair of Professor Pretschner. His research focused on the quality assessment of security mechanisms, especially intrusion detection systems. For his experiments, he investigated automatic driver assistance systems and possible malicious manipulations that can lead to serious accidents.
At THI, his teaching activities will focus on the bachelor's degree program in cyber security. For his research, Prof. Hutzelmann will join the CARISSMA Institute of Electric, Connected and Secure Mobility (C-ECOS) and continue his work in the Security in Mobility group. As a junior professor in the practice track, he will also soon gain further industrial experience, which will further enrich his teaching and research.
We look forward to working with him and wish him a good start to this new phase of his career.
