Fields of Competency and Research

An organically developed focus on teaching and research in the mobility sector led to the founding of the CARISSMA Research and Test Centre in 2016 as the leading scientific centre for vehicle safety in Germany. Several thematically related research and development fields of vehicle safety are now bundled there. Other research focuses of the faculty's professors are on topics such as "Autonomous Driving", "Sensor Technology, Communication and Artificial Intelligence for Networked Mobile Systems" as well as "Electromobility and Learning Systems" and "Microelectronic Packaging". Under construction is "Robotics".
