The 26-year-old came up with the idea for "Func" while out walking and was inspired by the lines of a car tailgate: Pelkonen's shower fitting combines organic shapes, timeless elegance, and functionality. With its shelf space, it is ideal for storing shower utensils and is designed to offer comfort and luxury even in smaller homes.
The design was created as a freelancer at BRANDIS industrial Design after Pelkonen's regular practice hours. Together with her colleagues, she continued to fine-tune the design. "Design is always teamwork," she says with conviction. She feels honored to receive the award and is grateful to have already gained practical experience and achieved success during her studies.
