How can automated driving become even safer? Michael Graf, a research associate at C-ISAFE, is looking into this question. In his paper, which he presented at the renowned VDI conference at the beginning of November, he dealt with the optimization and development of new test facilities. He was honored with the Best Paper Award for speakers up to 33 years of age.
The VDI Vehicle Safety Conference has been one of the most important specialist conferences and information platforms for experts in the field of passive and integral safety for almost three decades. This year's conference focussed on the topic of "Vehicle safety in the context of new, sustainable mobility concepts".
The event, on whose program committee the THI was represented by Professor Lothar Wech, is intended to serve as a forum for discussing new aspects and challenges relating to the safety of road users and for exchanging new ideas and solutions, particularly in connection with future mobility requirements.
