Even closer cooperation with partners from Latin America: After President Walter Schober had introduced THI to the guests from Mexico, Anne-Sophie Kopytynski, Managing Director of the Bavarian Centre for Applied Research and Technology with Latin America (AWARE), and Professor Harald Göllinger, Scientific Director of AWARE, presented THI's current Latin American projects. Professor Christian Sturm went into more detail about the ongoing cooperation with Mexico.
"As a university, we want to do more to attract more international specialists to the region. That's why we need to attract international students and collaborations. Mexico is a very attractive partner for us," says THI President Professor Walter Schober. To intensify contacts, the start-up company "talentos" was recently founded. It aims to facilitate access to career opportunities in Germany for highly qualified graduates from Latin America in the fields of IT and engineering.
After a tour of the campus with stops at various laboratories and the CARISSMA hall, Carmen Cecilia Villanueva Bracho's visit ended with a discussion with Mexican THI employees and students.
