In May we were represented at the ICPE 2023 - ECCE Asia, a power electronics conference. The focus of the conference was on how the world goals regarding decarbonization can be achieved with the help of power electronics. For our research group "Electromobility and Learning Systems" Christian Hanzl visited the conference in Jeju, Korea, from May 22 to 25. Besides him, about 900 participants were on site.
Christian Hanzl presented his topic "Experimental Investigation and Analytical Modelling of Half-Bridge Switching Losses in Reconfigurable Lithium-Ion Cells" on one of the conference days. The presentation focused on the experimental determination of the switching losses of a reconfigurable lithium-ion cell in half-bridge configurations. In addition, he presented a model that was used to calculate the losses analytically.
The social program also had a lot to offer. Besides the welcome buffet on the 1st day, there was a banquet on the other evenings as well as the Night of Jeju, for which an open-air buffet with life band was organized.
