Equipment description
The Fujifilm DMP-2850 is a drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet printer for high-precision printing. It uses the principle of a piezoelectric DOD: a piezoelectric actuator triggers a pressure pulse and ink droplets are ejected. The DMP-2850 can be used, for example, to print conductive metallic inks on various surfaces for smart wearables.
The DMP-2850 features:
- a flat, heatable substrate table with electrically operated xyz adjustment facility, on which various substrates can be fixed by means of vacuum
- a drop watcher for observation and analysis of the drop-jetting system
- a fiducial camera for alignment of the substrate and measurement of the pressure points
- a cartridge cleaning station
- various piezo-driven print cartridges with integrated ink reservoir and heating option (16 print nozzles, up to 1.5 ml ink capacity, two different drop volumes: 10 or 1pl)
- a software to control the print pattern, drop parameters and other quality parameters.
