Start-up support
Anyone who becomes self-employed can take advantage of a wide range of state aid. This also applies to business start-ups in science and research. The Research Promotion and EU Projects Division of the Research and Transfer office, in cooperation with the THI's start-up network, advises and supports business start-ups from the THI's environment.
Both the Bavarian funding programme FLÜGGE and the federal programme EXIST offer financial support for the preparation of innovative start-up projects from universities and research institutions in the early stages of the start-up. In particular, the preparation of a viable business plan and the development of marketable products and services are supported.
Main objectives of the start-up grants
- Financial and material security for founders from universities and research institutions in the preliminary phase of setting up a company, working on drawing up the business plan and developing marketable products and services
- Guiding students, graduates and scientists to entrepreneurial independence and the founding of their own company
- Qualification for entrepreneurial thinking and acting
