Professor Elke Feifel, Vice President for Entrepreneurship, Transfer, and Sustainability, welcomed the delegation. She presented THI's strategic orientation in innovation and sustainability to the Brazilian guests. Then, she explained the work of the AHK São Paulo and its role in promoting bilateral economic relations between Germany and Brazil.
Later in the morning, the AWARE Centre and the Center of Entrepreneurship at THI presented their current activities, followed by exciting pitches from the Ingolstadt start-ups thireks and Perpetuum Progress. THI Professor Sergej Diel rounded off the program with an insight into current German-Brazilian research projects at THI. Following the presentations, the delegation visited the CARISSMA research and test center as part of a research tour. There, Brazilian researchers presented their projects in Portuguese.
During the lunch that followed, initial contacts were made and possible future collaborations were discussed. ‘We are very pleased about the visit of the AHK and are grateful for the successful cooperation with Brazil so far. THI also sees great potential here for the future and will continue to expand the partnerships,’ said Professor Elke Feifel.
