Michael Sternbeck becomes professor at THI Business School

Reinforcement for THI Business School: Since September 2020, Michael Sternbeck has been the newly appointed Professor for Supply Chain Management and Operations. Now the Dean of THI Business School, Prof. Dr. Bernd Scheed, has officially welcomed him.

After studying business administration, Sternbeck received his Ph.D. from the Chair of Supply Chain Management & Operations at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. He then became head of the operations management branch (transport operations, branch operations, reverse operations) at dm-drogerie markt GmbH + Co KG, Karlsruhe. He also worked as a lecturer at various universities before being appointed professor at THI.

His research focuses on retail and consumer goods operations as well as integrative supply chain planning.
