Prof. Dr. Christian Stummeyer from THI Business School has published a guest article in the current special edition of the HandelsblattJournal on Artificial Intelligence. Titled "Sales of the Future: Successfully Implementing AI," he posits that the use of AI processes will have a significant and lasting impact on sales in the future and lead to significant changes in sales processes. The Handelsblatt is one of Germany's largest and most renowned business newspapers with a reach of around half a million readers.
When it comes to artificial intelligence, large corporations and medium-sized companies alike are facing the challenge of taking their own sales departments to the next level using artificial intelligence and machine learning methods. Many companies are already using chatbots, for example, which are available to customers 24/7 for a wide variety of inquiries. Stummeyer recommends conducting a detailed analysis to identify other areas where AI can be optimally deployed. He explicitly encourages executives to think visionary and in terms of scenarios that may not become reality for another five or ten years.
Stummeyer is Professor of Digital Business and Consumer Commerce at THI Business School and Scientific Director of AININ, the Bavarian Research Center for AI.
