The THI Business School welcomed many new faces again this semester. More than 420 Bachelor and around 100 Master students started their first semester.
The first-year students of the Bachelor's programs began their studies with an introductory week, which varied from program to program. The first-year students in the Business Administration (BW) and International Management (IG) programs took excursions to the companies Büchl, Herrnbräu, Airbus, MTU Aero Engines, Kessel AG, Gebrüder Peters and Klinikum Ingolstadt. The students were thrilled to be able to get to know such well-known companies in the region in the very first week and had prepared well for the excursions.
There were also several practical presentations, which the two programs International Management (IG) and Global Economics and Business Management (GBM) attended together. A total of nearly 130 students were present when Mr. Cvijanovic from the Academy of the Celonis Company spoke on "The Importance of Process Mining - What to Know About It and How to Apply It!" and Mr. Hawliczek from Die Grüne 3 gave a presentation on "How do I use LinkedIn correctly and how is LinkedIn used by recruiters?" and provided useful information.
Companies also presented themselves in the Digital Business (DB) and Media Psychology and Digital Business (MPS) programs. The students got to know MHP Consulting, Telefonica and MediaMarktSaturn better during guest lectures and were thus later prepared to prepare presentations on the companies.
The newcomers to the Life Science Management (LSM) program were able to gain valuable impressions of their future professional environment during impulse lectures on the topics of "Monoclonal Antibodies - Past, Present, Future" by Prof. Dr. Kathrin Tissot, "Digitalization in Healthcare using the Example of Medical Expert Systems" by Prof. Dr. Silke Wolfenstetter, and "BioRevolution" by program director Prof. Dr. Alexander Schuhmacher.
Practical relevance from day 1 is an important component of the studies at the THI Business School, from which the new freshmen have already benefited.
