Publication in the journal Nature: Study on the starting point of innovation in the biopharmaceutical industry

Dr. Alexander Schuhmacher, Professor of Life Science Management at THI Business School, together with researchers from the University of St. Gallen, University of Tübingen and experts from the pharmaceutical industry, published a study in one of the world's most renowned journals "Nature Reviews Drug Discovery" (2-year Impact Factor (2021) 112,288). The German-Swiss research group published a study on strategy and innovation in the biopharmaceutical industry. Specifically, in this fundamental work, the researchers focused on the question of where the world's largest pharmaceutical and biotech companies sourced their newly approved drugs in recent years and what implications can be derived from this for the business model of the pharmaceutical industry.
