Book publication in German: "Fahrzeugsicherheit und automatisiertes Fahren"

A new publication by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Botsch (THI), head of the SAFIR-Cluster 2 and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Utschik (TUM), member of the scientific advisory board of SAFIR will be published at the beginning of June. The title of the book is: ""Fahrzeugsicherheit und automatisiertes Fahren, - Methoden der Signalverarbeitung und des maschinellen Lernens"". It also mentions results from subprojects 1 and 4 of SAFIR impulse project 2.

The book deals with methods of signal processing and machine learning required in integral vehicle safety and for automated driving. It provides the mathematical basics to design and implement own algorithms for automated interventions in vehicle control. The book is aimed at engineers from the automotive sector as well as engineering students and doctoral candidates.

The individual focal points are illustrated by exercises with sample solutions. For exercises where it is necessary, Matlab scripts are provided.

The book will be published by Hanser Verlag (German edition) at the beginning of June.
