Since April, researchers from Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences (THI) have once again been organizing the Neuburg Sustainability Talks. They present their work in dialogue with interesting guests from the region. The main focus is on the question of how science can contribute to making our region more sustainable.

Next Tuesday, 14th of May, Prof. Dr. Holger Hoppe (THI), Helmut Rehm (Sparkasse Neuburg), and Manuel Grafendorfer (THI Campus for Continuing Education) will be discussing responsible investments: the financial sector has been undergoing a period of upheaval for some time now. Large institutional investors are increasingly focussing on the sustainability of their investments, paying attention not only to returns but also to social benefits. This development is supported by current legislation, for example, the EU taxonomy. However, private investors with smaller investment volumes are also faced with the question of how they can make the transition from profit to purpose. The discussion will be moderated by Bernhard Mahler, press spokesman for the city of Neuburg a. d. Donau. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and join in the discussion. All interested parties are cordially invited. The event will take place from 18:30 to 20:00 in room CN004 on the Neuburg campus.

Further information on the individual dialogue rounds and registration can be found at www.thi.de/NNG. The Neuburg Sustainability Talks are organized by the ‘People on the Move’ project.
