Scientists from Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences discussed the MIAMy project, which aims to bring autonomous vehicle concepts to the road, with their partners from research and industry.

Under the name MIAMy, the project aims to support and accelerate the market launch of future vehicle concepts in the field of connected and safe autonomous driving as well as innovative mobility services. To this end, methods and tools are systematically prepared and relevant data and services are provided for the industry, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.

During the visit to the THI, the partners involved brought themselves up to date and jointly considered how they could ideally utilise synergy effects and consolidate their collaboration. The results of their previous research were presented at CARISSMA, the nationwide control centre for vehicle safety.

Under the leadership of the Lower Saxony Research Centre for Automotive Engineering (NFF) at the Technical University of Braunschweig, the German Aerospace Centre (Institute of Transportation Systems Engineering), the CARISSMA research and test centre at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences and ITS mobility e.V. are acting as a project consortium within the framework of funding from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. Eleven thematically and content-wise different hubs are planned for the Germany-wide transfer of knowledge, with a total investment of 50 million euros. One of these hubs is the MIAMy project.
