Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) and the Association of German Engineers (VDI) invite you to a Virtual Electromobility Day on Wednesday, 13 May at 8 p.m. as part of THI's "Online Lecture Series on Electromobility". This event serves all interested parties as a replacement for the popular Electric Mobility Day, which cannot be held live at the THI this year due to the corona crisis.
With the introduction of e-scooters in large cities, electromobility has arrived at the heart of our society. What has already achieved success with the broad masses in the low-threshold two-wheeled sector will now also have to prove itself in vehicles on four wheels. 2020 is regarded as a key year in the industry, as it is the first time that the CO2 fleet limits set by the EU will have to be met. Meanwhile, science is also working flat out on the further development of electric vehicles. At THI, e-mobility research is combined with artificial intelligence, for example in the field of intelligent batteries.
At the Virtual Electromobility Day, which will be held via Zoom and Skype for Business, Kurt Sigl, President of the German eMobility Association (BEM), will speak on the status quo of electromobility in Germany. The online event will be moderated by Rainer Wetekam, Head of the VDI District Group Ingolstadt, in cooperation with THI Professor Dr. Hans-Georg Schweiger, who is responsible for the lecture series on electromobility. The lecture lasts about 60 to 90 minutes.
